Interested in teaching a type of dance or movement class that we don't currently offer? Contact us with the appropriate resume and reference details and information about the type of class you'd like to introduce to Vinnie's
Do I need experience? No, Vinnie's classes are geared toward all levels of ability, and our instructors are patient through the process of learning to dance.
Do I need a partner? No partner is needed. In Vinnie's partner dance classes like ballroom, salsa and swing, the instructor will pair you with someone when you arrive.
Can I just drop in or do I need to sign up?Many of Vinnie's classes are available on a drop-in basis for a flat fee payable each time you come. These classes do not require pre-registration. Simply pay the instructor upon arrival.
Other classes can be purchased as a four-class (one month) series that offers discounts when purchased together. Series classes tend to build on themselves, steadily progressing in complexity from the first to fourth week. Many classes culminate in a completed "routine." Please plan to pay the instructor on the first class of the series.
What do I wear?Wear something comfortable that you don't mind sweating in - dance is a valuable form of exercise! Remember that some classes require special footwear or no shoes at all. Check your class's webpage for details.
Can I schedule private or group Lessons?Individual and group private lessons with many of Vinnie's instructors are available upon request. Vinnie's must be contacted via e-mail or by phone in advance to schedule the lessons. Upon successful scheduling, the inquiring party, the instructor and a member of Vinnie's staff will be asked to read and sign an outsourcing agreement prior to the lesson.
Cost varies from instructor to instructor and is often negotiable. The average cost, however, is $50 per hour.
E-mail vinnies@chc1.com or call (860) 347-6971, ext. 3777, for more information.
Are instructors available for hire?Vinnie's instructors work hard to bring dance to everyone. Our teachers are available to teach and perform at your school, organization or company or at private or community events. Please contact Vinnie's to inquire about instructor availability. While each instructor has his or her own schedule, a Vinnie's staff member can work with you to determine the best teacher(s) for your event and inquire about their availability.
