Lynn Agnew
Tap, Jazz, CardioDance

Lynn started dancing when she was age 2 and never stopped — she has been teaching dance for over 30 years — gaining wide recognition for her skill. Lynn is known for her enthusiasm, patience, and passion for dance. She has studied under Phil Black, Charles Kelley, and Frank Hatchett, to name a few. Lynn is a well-known teacher in Middletown and this past summer became the Director of the Summer Dance Program at Middletown's Parks and Recreation Department.

Stephen Chabak
Strengthen and Stretch

In his 18 years as a licensed physical therapist, Stephen has worked with stars on Broadway in New York, and in nursing homes in rural Louisiana as well as central Connecticut. Much of his experience is in the outpatient orthopedic setting and he recently provided the physical therapy for 12,000 inmates in California prisons. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys wine-making, cooking, gardening, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Dr. Michael Clark
Salsa

Michael Clark has been dancing salsa for 12 years and performing for 8. He is a past dancer with Consazon and currently tours nationally and internationally with Descarga Latina Ritmo Ysabor. He is New-York trained and teaches New York Club style On 2. Dr. Mike teaches at Vinnie's every Friday night. Check out his free intro lesson from 7-7:30!

Bryan LingbaFlare Giles
Bboy/Bgirl

Bryan is an experienced breakdance performer and teacher. A member of Of Shadow and Earth since 2000, he has performed throughout Connecticut and the broader New England area. Bryan also teaches at the Green Street Arts Center where he coaches Fresh Obsessed, a young people's team with great talent. Bryan creates high expectations for his students and pushes them to be their very best. He believes in developing your personal interpretation of the dancing and will tailor lessons to your style and skills as you progress beyond the basics.

Jim Gregory
Country Line Dance

Jim Gregory is a full-time dance teacher, with specialties in Country-western line and Early American cotillions. Besides being a veteran contra dance caller, Jim has taught ballroom and international folk dance, written contras and line dances, performed Appalachian clogging and Olde English country dance. Whether inspiring school kids, family groups, the general public or senior citizens, Jim has a great repertoire of both traditional and original dances to offer.

Susan de Guardiola
Jane Austen dance, Disco Line Dance, and more

Susan de Guardiola is a social dance historian who studies and teaches the dance of eras from the Renaissance to present day and has taught and lectured across the United States and in Canada and Russia. Her workshops range from the dance of Jane Austen's era and the Victorian age to the 1970s disco line dance craze and today's cross-step waltz. Enjoy her dance history blog at Capering & Kickery!

Jeff Hush
Chi Yoga, Pilates

Jeff Hush has been practicing dance, tai chi, yoga and pilates for more than 30 years. His classes always encourage health, a balanced use of the entire body and deep breathing. He lived for 16 years in Prague, Czech Republic, where he became the leading Power Yoga teacher at World Class gyms (a Swedish company with gyms across Europe). Hush has a new company jeffhushyoga offering Wellness Workshops to companies across Connecticut.

Gia Khalsa
Bellydance

Gia found her true passion in belly dance in 1996 and has been teaching and performing all over Connecticut since 1997. Her own style of this ancient art form developed into an eclectic, emotional, artistic, mystical blend of the basics of the dance flavored with all the disciplines she has studied through the years — including yoga, chi gong, daoist practices, Buddhism, Sufism, and shamanic studies. The connection between women as they dance is a big focus for Gia and her classes are open to women of all ages, skills, and body types.

Natalie Lindstrom
Ballroom, Swing, Private Lessons

Natalie Lindstrom has been dancing all her life and teaching dance for much of it. If you ask her to name her favorite dance style, she'll tell you tap, jazz, ballroom, swing, Latin, contra, folk, and vintage. She has danced, taught and performed in Connecticut since 1972 and before that, in California.

Kathleen Maroney
Hot Vinyasa Power Yoga

Kathleen discovered Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga in 2003 and was immediately hooked by its transformative qualities. Simply, the practice builds strength and connects body, mind and soul. Kathleen is a Certified Yoga Teacher having completed a 200 hour teacher training. She is fully insured and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. Additionally, she has completed Level One and Level Two Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste for 200 more training hours and is currently in the process of becoming Baptiste certified.

Miriam Menkin
Morning Yoga

Miriam Menkin, certified yoga instructor, loves teaching yoga to others whether they are young, old, practicing yoga regularly or trying yoga for the first time. I have consistently been practicing for over 14 years and loving the physical and mental benefits it brings to meeting life's challenges. My teaching style derives from my Ashtanga practice with modifications tailored to students physical and emotional conditions. I give detailed instruction in combination with movements and periods of silence to make the practice your own. I hope to see you in class!

Kim Thibodeau
Mommy and Me, Pre-K Dance

Using creative movements to connect body, mind, spirit and emotions, Kim Renee Thibodeau — founder of Kimnetics — helps children and adults alike build endurance, reduce stress and sculpt muscles... and love every minute of it. Kim enjoys teaching in schools, colleges, spas, studios, community centers and private studios, and has done so for over eight years. Kim also designed, implemented and nationally launched the children's in-school fitness program, Recess Rocks!

Josh Van Vliet
Blues Dancing

Josh's dancing passions include blues, swing, waltz, tango, salsa and contra. Known for his sense of humor in his dancing, he loves to focus on partner connection, musicality and dance fusion. He got his start teaching blues and swing with the Yale Swing and Blues society, and has since taught at Wesleyan with Weswing and Blues, as well as at several regional dance camps.
